Screen Australia is the Commonwealth Government’s primary agency for supporting Australian screen projects, practitioners and businesses. We support projects of scale and ambition, distinct local stories told with strong creative voices and risk-taking content for all platforms.
About the role
We’re currently seeking a talented professional to lead our Games Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our core Games funds and associated programs, working closely with our Content & Operations teams. In this role, you’ll oversee the assessment of funding applications, manage funded projects, and engage with game makers, interactive content creators, and industry professionals to ensure successful project delivery. This position may see the successful candidate representing Screen Australia at various festivals, conferences and panels around Australia and Internationally.
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is based in either our Melbourne or Sydney offices. It is offered as a full-time, three-year contract.
About you:
To hit the ground running, you will be a skilled creative leader with a passion for and a deep understanding of the games industry. Additionally, you will exhibit sound creative judgment and a proven track record of objectively evaluating ideas and proposals to make fair and impartial decisions.
