Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2024 3M Open – Australian Golf Digest

In the words of late Yankee legend Yogi Berra, it’s getting late early. Meaning, we’re still in July but only two events remain to secure placing withing the FedEx Cup Playoffs, a lucrative series that everyone on the PGA Tour wants to secure.

Up this week, the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn., where there are a few dreary players who traveled from Scotland and last week’s British Open. Everyone in the field is playing for the $8.1 million overall purse, with the winner taking home $1.458 million.

One of those coming from Royal Troon was Billy Horschel, who tied for second place with Justin Rose, two shots behind Xander Schauffele. He said late Sunday in Scotland that he’d be on the range early Tuesday in Minnesota and he was true to his word. (Read about it here.)

Nick Dunlap, fresh of his second PGA Tour victory last week in California, is at the 3M Open too. His victory moved him up to No. 63 in FedEx Cup points, with the top 70 qualifying for the FedEx St. Jude Championship in a few weeks.

Tony Finau, Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley and defending champion Lee Hodges are among the other notables in the field. Amateur Luke Clanton returns too on a sponsor exemption. The Florida State junior recorded two straight top-10 finishes on the tour earlier this month.

Next week is an off week for the tour as the Olympic Men’s Competition is Aug. 1-4 outside Paris. The following week is the Wyndham Championship in North Carolina, the final regular-season event of the year.

Here’s the prize money breakdown for each player who makes the cut this week. Check back here shortly after play is complete Sunday for updates.
