What will Bryson DeChambeau do this year?
The U.S. Open champion, if you recall, shot a final-round 12-under 58 at the LIV Golf Greenbrier in 2023 to storm from behind and capture his first LIV Golf title. He shot 68-61-58 for the 23-under-par winning total, beating Mito Pereira by six shots.
Yeah, but what’s that guy done since then? Other than win the U.S. Open at Pinehurst in dramatic fashion, his second major, and create the most popular YouTube page in the game.
DeChambeau, oddly, is only eighth in the tour’s season-long standings, producing only two top-five finishes. At the top is Joaquin Niemann, who won two of the first three events of the year and only has two finishes outside the top 10 all year. Jon Rahm, who won his first LIV event three weeks ago in the United Kingdom, is second behind Niemann. Tyrrell Hatton, Sergio Garcia and Louis Oosthuizen round out the top five.

The Crushers, however, lead the team standings. DeChambeau is the captain along with Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri. Rahm’s Legion XIII is second and Cam Smith’s Ripper GC is third.
The overall purse this week is the customary $20 million, with the winner taking home $4 million for his victory. This marks the 12th event of the year for the third year of the league. Only the event at Chicago and the Team Championship in Dallas remain.
Here is the breakdown of what each player will earn this week at the Greenbrier. Check back here Sunday shortly after play is complete for updates.
