A few days after sealing a $24 billion deal to sell his data centre company AirTrunk to US investment giant Blackstone in September, Robin Khuda was in the car with his kids, listening to an episode of the Chanticleer podcast that discussed the stunning deal.

“The kids said: ‘Why do people talk about you all the time?’ Then they used a term called ‘slay’ – I still don’t really know what it means,” Kuhda says with a shrug.
