When K.C. Cho, a visionary designer in Los Angeles, started crafting top-quality pop-up practice nets for major brands like Callaway and Franklin Sports, he probably didn’t envision his creations taking root in Australia. But by 2016, after launching Spornia to pursue his own path, these nets began to capture the attention of golfers worldwide, quickly climbing to No.1 as ranked by MyGolfSpy and Golf Digest. Selling more than 40,000 nets globally and accumulating heaps of five-star reviews was just the beginning.

The pivotal moment occurred when Mark Armstrong, an amateur golfer from Melbourne with a deep love for the sport, discovered Spornia. Faced with limited access to quality practice gear and driven by his passion for golf, Armstrong sought to elevate his game – a journey punctuated by a mishap involving a timber fence that left him in dire need of a reliable practice net.

Armstrong’s search led him to Spornia, but there was a catch – Spornia didn’t ship to Australia. Undeterred, Armstrong enlisted a friend in the United States to purchase a net and send it to him. The net’s stellar reputation was immediately apparent, validating its international acclaim with every swing.

Realising the potential impact on his fellow Australian golfers, Armstrong reached out to Cho. Their conversation sparked an idea that would soon bring Spornia directly to the Australian market. In 2019, Spornia Australia was established, and since then, it has helped more than 2,000 golfers Down Under perfect their swing.
