It’s time for one of the most iconic events on the global sporting calendar, America’s college basketball 68-team, single-game elimination tournament known as March Madness.
Each year, fans go crazy for the tournament, filling out brackets, cheering for Cinderella stories, and watching a borderline unhealthy amount of basketball.
This year, with several big-name Australian players on legitimately contending teams, fans of basketball down under will have more reason than ever before to check out the tournament – but how can they watch it?
Sporting News has all the details below.
For Australian hoops fans, Foxtel and Kayo will be the place for them to catch March Madness action.
Owing to the fact that the early rounds feature multiple simultaneously, not every game will be available to stream, but Foxtel and Kayo will feature all of the major moments, as well as every single game of the final stages.
The first official action of March Madness begins on March 20th in Australia, in what is called the First Four games, which determines the last four teams to qualify for the 64-team bracket.
The first and second rounds of the tournament will take place over the weekend of March 22-25, the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight from March 29 to April 1, the Final Four on April 7 and the Championship on April 9.
