How to watch the Paralympics in Australia: TV channel, free-to-air guide and live stream for Paris 2024 | Sporting News Australia

The Paralympic Games are almost upon us as Paris finalises preparations for over 11 days of events.

Australia picked up an impressive 80 medals at the previous edition in Tokyo and will be aiming for continued success in 2024.

Are the Paralympics televised? TV channel, free-to-air guide in Australia

Just like the Olympic Games, the Nine Network has the full broadcast rights in Australia for the Paralympic Games.

Each day, over 13 hours of live coverage will be available on free-to-air television across Channel 9 and 9Gem. 

This includes both the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games.

Paralympics live stream: How to watch in Australia online

All 549 events from Paris 2024 can be streamed live via free-to-use platform 9Now and subscription service Stan Sport.

More than 20 individual sport channels will be available to fans, along with select highlights and minis.

Stan Sport will offer ad-free and on-demand coverage, as well as hosting Paralympics Daily – an exclusive daily show available from 7:30 am (AEST) throughout the Games.

When do the Paralympics start?

The Paralympic Games will begin in Paris on Wednesday, August 28 and run through to Sunday, September 8.
