Amazon Australia has revealed it is hiring another 600 workers ahead of the festive season.
The e-commerce giant needs workers to pick, pack and ship customer orders as customer demand ramps up — and the roles require no qualifications or experience.
There are jobs on offer in the companies “fulfilment centres and logistics sites” in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Gosford and Geelong.

“For those who prefer a more flexible work arrangement, there will also be earning opportunities around the country, delivering packages with Amazon Flex,” Amazon Australia said.
“These job opportunities will help meet customer demand as Australians prepare for the festive season throughout key shopping periods, including Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday.”
Amazon Australia’s operations HR director Jacqui Marker said the roles would suit “those seeking short-term work, such as retirees wanting to stay engaged in work, students on their study breaks or individuals looking to re-enter the workforce and earn an extra income”.
The jobs can also lead to more long-term work arrangements, with another 550 permanent roles opening up in Australia this year, the company said.
“Seasonal roles at Amazon sites can be a stepping stone to applying for permanent employment when available and starting a long-term career at Amazon.”
A worker who was employed as a seasonal worker over the festive season in 2022, and who now works full-time at Amazon’s Robotics Fulfilment centre in Kemps Creek, said one of her favourite parts about the job was the flexibility with her working hours.
“Being able to work four days on and three days off, offers me fantastic flexibility in being able to spend more time with my family.
A bonus perk is getting a sneak-peak of the latest Christmas toys, sparking ideas for Christmas presents for my kids!”
