The Australian cricket team played their first and last Test match at the iconic Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Ground in Perth against England in 1970 and December 2017 respectively.
The WACA was replaced by a new stadium to host international cricket matches in Perth. Named as The new Optus Stadium for sponsorship reasons, it has a capacity of 60,000 and was built in
January 2018.

India Need to Take a Big Call on the Pace Bowling Department for Perth Test

The Australian men’s cricket team played their first Test match at the new venue against India in December 2018 and won that match.
Since playing their first Test at this ground, Australia have gone on to win the next three matches as well.
The pitch at the Optus Stadium is similar to the WACA in terms of the pace and bounce that it generates, and the Aussie quicks have been quite successful on this ground so far.
The upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy will get underway at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
Australia’s Test record at Optus Stadium:
