India did not impress much but still managed to sneak through to the knockout stages with a record of two wins and three defeats in five matches. India were level on points with the South African Champions but had a better net run rate (NRR) and managed to qualify.
The Indian team in the tournament is led by legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and also includes some of India’s finest cricketers from yesteryear, with the likes of Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Robin Uthappa, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, and Harbhajan Singh playing in the tournament.
The Australian team is captained by legendary pacer Brett Lee and has some great players in their ranks, including 2021 T20 World Cup-winning captain Aaron Finch, IPL’s first-ever Orange Cap winner Shaun Marsh, and ex-Test captain Tim Paine, among many others.
