Aussie wicketkeeper Josh Inglis scored the fastest century by an Australian in T20 internationals as the tourists sealed victory over Scotland in Edinburgh on Friday.
Inglis, 29, notched up his century in just 43 deliveries claiming record of a hundred in 47 balls by Aaron FInch and Glenn Maxwell.
The Aussies took unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series and it was Inglis’ aggression at the crease that guided Australia to 4-196.

The hosts could not match the target, only managing 126 in 16.4 overs thanks to a career performance with the ball from all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.
Stoinis claimed 4-23 from 3.4 overs with fellow all-rounder Cameron Green snaring a couple wickets as well.
“To hold that record is really nice,” Inglis saic.
“There was a bit happening early on; we lost a couple of early wickets (so) we spoke about building a partnership. Once the new ball wore down, it got easier to bat.”
Scottish opener George Munsey (19 off nine balls) got the run chase off to a strong start before Australia’s quicks did damage.
Xavier Bartlett and Aaron Hardie claimed wickets before Stoinis ripping through the middle order, with all four of his dismissals caught in the outfield.
Brandon McMullen was the only Scottish player to threaten the Aussie attack, smashing 59 from 42 balls.
The third and final T20 between Scotland and Australia gets underway at the same venue on Saturday at 11pm AEST.
