Former Australian rugby league player Jarryd Hayne was recently dragged into the GWS post-season party scandal.
The club’s notorious “Wacky Wednesday” dress-up skits during a post-season party were heavily criticised by both officials and fans.
The AFL’s integrity unit interviewed those involved and handed down some hefty penalties, with the AFL CEO condemning the acts of players.

One player, Josh Fahey, reportedly dressed up as former NRL star Hayne, where he simulated inappropriate acts on a sex doll.
Hayne’s lawyer Margaret Cunneen has now reacted to the scandal.
“It’s unfortunate that Mr Hayne’s face is used in reportage of this fancy dress party given the restoration of his good character and quashing of his conviction in by the Court of Criminal Appeal,” she told the Daily Telegraph.
Hayne was involved in a six-year legal battle that included three trials and two convictions.
The former NFL player was cleared of charges in June this year and released from prison after winning an appeal against a rape conviction and claims of sexual assault.
The 36-year-old is now making a return to rugby league as part of Fiji’s coaching staff, where he is a mentor.
