It’s been almost exactly a year since Jersey Jerry exploded into the golf consciousness with his 37-hour hole-in-one chase on a simulator version of Pebble Beach’s iconic par-3 7th hole. Broadcast live on YouTube, the Barstool Sports personality slept on an air mattress in front of the simulator screen, refusing to leave until he made an ace. 2627 swings later, he finally did, and the Internet erupted in a volley of fireworks that made New Year’s Eve look tame.

Like all smash hits these days, Jerry’s epic hole-in-one saga appears to be getting a bigger, better sequel. On Sunday, TGL—Tiger Woods’ and Rory McIlroy’s the upstart simulator golf league—teased the return of screen golf’s prodigal son with a photo of Jerry inspecting the tee box at the SoFi Center featuring the caption “He’s baaaaaack.”

There’s still plenty TBD, namely where the stream will be broadcast and which hole will serve as the backdrop, but the post did seem to confirm the date of Jerry’s long-awaited return to the ring, with “01.02.2025” displayed boldly for all to see. With TGL set to begin league play at the SoFi Center on January 7th, that means Jerry will have exactly five days to make a hole-in-one. For the sake of his mental well-being (and blistered palms) let’s hope it doesn’t take quite that long, but we’ll enjoy the ride for however long it lasts.
