Nathan Lyon talks about THAT run-out on day two
Day two, and potentially this match, was turned on its head as the sun started to set at the MCG yesterday.
Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal were looking ominous with their partnership reaching 100.
But Jaiswal, on 82, went for a quick single and his superstar, veteran teammate turned his back and didn’t run.
Australian spinner Nathan Lyon talked about the run-out with ABC Sport at the close of play.
“It was probably one of the best barbecues I’ve seen, to be honest with you,” Lyon said.
“It came out of the blue. They were doing it pretty easy out there … pressure does funny things. Silly run-outs are coach killers, aren’t they? It was pretty special.”
