Cricket Victoria would like to congratulate Maroondah Edge on receiving Cricket Australia’s 2024 Community Facility Project of the Year Award.
Maroondah Edge was nominated after receiving Cricket Victoria’s Community Facility of the Year award earlier this year.
Delivered by Maroondah City Council in partnership with the Victorian Government, this new cricket hub has a strong focus on growing women and girls’ participation in the outer-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
Opened in July 2023, the hub includes a five-lane indoor cricket centre, new modern pavilion with gender-neutral changerooms and 500 lux lighting.
Cricket Victoria would also like to thank the Ringwood Cricket Club, Ringwood District Cricket Association and Ringwood Spiders for their support of this great new facility for the region.
Cricket Victoria has worked with the Victorian Government and our local government partners on the delivery of four metropolitan and five regional hubs across Victoria. These hubs will play a key strategic role in supporting cricket participation and pathway development.
Cricket Australia’s 2024 Community Facility Project of the Year Award recognises project excellence that delivers on Australian Cricket’s strategic objectives, environmentally sustainable design and facilitated successful stakeholder relationships.
