ASC will recruit an additional 200 entry-level workers to support AUKUS Pillar I as part of a new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Graduate, Apprenticeship and Traineeship initiative.

Most of the new roles will be located in Western Australia to support Submarine Rotational Force West (SRF-West). They will span a variety of skill sets spanning fabrication and machining, engineering and project management, and supply chain and operations qualifications.

“We want to keep Australians safe. That’s why WA will play a key role in building AUKUS. This will help promote peace and deterrence in the region and support local jobs,” said the Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese.
