Each October, Augusta National Golf Club re-opens for play, welcoming a few fresh (and presumably wide-eyed) faces to its illustrious roster of members. Despite the recent damage suffered during Hurricane Helene, this year appears to be no different with Sports Business Journal reporting that New York Giants NFL legend Eli Manning will headline this year’s freshman class.
Augusta National declined to comment on the reports, but if accurate, the younger Manning will join his big brother and Manningcast co-host Peyton as a member of the hallowed Masters venue. According to Sports Business Journal, the youngest Manning brother is one of four new invitees for 2024-2025 and will be accompanied by former CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus, Amazon chief executive Andy Jassy and Delta Airlines chief executive Ed Bastian. That’s a pretty powerful foursome if you ask us.
In addition to snagging the most coveted membership in golf, Manning is also one of 16 first-year nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. With two Super Bowl MVPs and one of the most iconic moments in NFL history to his name, something tells us he’ll soon have a gold jacket to go with his green one.
