Riley Kingsell, Alex Lee-Young, Ollie Patterson and Addison Sherriff will embark on the multi-format tour which begins in September and comprises three 50-over and two four-day matches.
All four players have consistently performed well at both representative and premier cricket level, with Sherriff notably winning the U19 National Championships with NSW Metropolitan late last year.
Patrick Farhart, Performance Director – Cricket Performance at Cricket NSW, said:
“The selection of Riley, Alex, Ollie, and Addison for this tour is a testament to their talent, performances, and work ethic.
“Cricket NSW is proud to have contributed to the development of these fine young men and wishes them the very best for this tour and for the upcoming 2024-25 season.”
The series will mark the beginning of the new World Cup cycle and a chance for the Australian U19 team to continue their winning ways, following their 2024 ICC U19 World Cup winning campaign in South Africa earlier in the year.
Final schedules and broadcast details for the tour are expected to be confirmed shortly.
Sonya Thompson, Cricket Australia Head of National Development, said:
“It is exciting to commence a new World Cup cycle and provide the next generation of emerging talent with the opportunity to represent Australia at international level.
“The upcoming India tour will give a new squad of players the chance to play a multi-format series and challenge them to adapt to different conditions outside of Australia.
“Ensuring our pathway programs are strong is a major priority for Australian Cricket we’re committed to increasing opportunities for our most talented emerging players at both a domestic and international level.”
