PGA Tour stars Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy will take on the LIV duo of Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka in The Showdown today in Las Vegas. After that, it’s unclear when Sin City will play host to a big-time golf event again.

The PGA Tour unveiled its 2025 FedEx Cup Fall schedule overnight and, as expected, the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas is not part of it. In October, it was reported that Shriners had ended its longtime sponsorship with the tour.

The new schedule features seven events, starting once again in Napa, California, with the Procore Championship September 11-14. And has been the case in recent years, this portion of the schedule will end with the RSM Classic November 20-23. Here’s a look at the entire seven-tournament slate:

This will mark the first time in more than four decades that the PGA Tour won’t make its annual stop in Las Vegas. Fuzzy Zoeller won the first, then called the Panasonic Las Vegas Pro-Celebrity Classic, in 1983.

The tournament was played at a variety of courses before settling on TPC Summerlin. That was the site of Tiger Woods’ first PGA Tour victory in 1996 when he defeated Davis Love III in a playoff.

The only other significant change to this portion of the schedule involves the Japan stop. Previously called the Zozo Championship, it is now the Baycurrent Classic and it will be played at Yokohama Country Club for the first time.

A bigger change is that there will be fewer PGA Tour cards up for grabs next American autumn after recently approved changes by the tour’s policy board. Starting next year, only the top 100 on the FedEx Cup Fall list will earn exempt status for the next season (down from 125), while Nos.101-125 will earn conditional status.
