The eldest daughter of the late Australian cricket legend Dean Jones has paid a touching tribute to her father on her wedding day.
The champion cricketer, coach and commentator died suddenly in September 2020 after suffering a stroke. He was 59.
He was Australia’s 324th Test cricketer and his highest first-class score was 324. It was this milestone his daughter Phoebe chose to feature on her big day.

In a beautiful tribute to her late father, Phoebe had the numbers 324 embroidered into her wedding veil.
She wore the veil and a stunning dress as she wed her partner Dario Gomez during a ceremony in Boracay in the Philippines.
“Feeling all the love after the week of our dreams,” Phoebe captioned an Instagram post of a black and white photo with her husband.
The wedding was attended by Phoebe’s younger sister, Augusta, their mother Jane as well as other close family and friends.

The number has been close to her heart since her father’s passing and is a hashtag staple on her social media accounts.
Phoebe’s tribute to her father echoes emotional comments she made following his passing. She said her father’s “legacy will live on in every life he touched”.
Jones was also big on sharing his feelings for his family, regularly posting about them.
In 1994, he dedicated his autobiography Deano My Call to his wife Jane and Phoebe. Augusta, birth name Isabella, wasn’t yet born.
Jones has a son, Kobe, from a previous relationship.

“Who knows what would have happened to me if you weren’t part of my life,” he wrote.
Jones was in Mumbai fulfilling his commentating duties for the Indian Premier League when he died suddenly after returning from a run and collapsing in the hotel.
Former Australian cricketer Brett Lee attempted to revive him.
In December 2020, Jane, Phoebe and Augusta paid their own personal tribute on the MCG to mark the first Boxing Day Test without their father.
The tribute was marked at 3:24 pm during the tea break on day one.
