In long-awaited news for Australian fashion lovers, Phoebe Philo has announced that her eponymous label will begin shipping to Australia as soon as next month.
In a statement released on Instagram, the brand said: “Phoebe Philo will be shipping to Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and South Korea from November 2024.

This is a long-awaited launch for Australian Philo fans, as it’s been seven long years since we were able to get our hands on her designs easily. When Phoebe Philo announced her return to fashion in 2021, three years after exiting Celine, the industry and fashion lovers alike took note immediately. Though details were slim, the eponymous label was rumoured to launch in early 2022, with Philo not only acting as the label’s creative director but also as the majority owner (with LVMH as the minority owner).
“Being in my studio and making once again has been both exciting and incredibly fulfilling,” said Philo in a short statement shared with The Business of Fashion at the time. “I am very much looking forward to being back in touch with my audience and people everywhere. To be independent, to govern and experiment on my own terms is hugely significant to me.”
Fast forward to October 2023, and Phoebe Philo finally launched to the world, or at least, to the UK, Europe, and the United States. The sell-out collection included a considered range of goods that ranged in price from £2,600 to £6,200 (approx. AU $4,965 to $11,840), and though the price tag is undoubtedly hefty, her devotion to designing garments that buck the hyper-speed trend cycle that favours newness above all else is still refreshing.
The range includes Philo’s signatures: timeless ready-to-wear and accessories. This translates to leather goods like supple black leather boots and cream corduroy coats (price available on application), as well as gold-plated jewellery (don’t be fooled by the plating; a ring will still cost you $900 USD) and perfectly cut button-down shirts. And let’s not forget that she recently co-signed the controversial thong heel trend. To date, Philo has released three drops as part of her ‘A’ collection, with the ‘B’ collection reportedly being on its way in 2025.
To stay up to date on a precise Australian launch date and to shop the range as soon as you can, heed Philo’s instructions and register your interest on the label’s website.
