Melbourne Park will host an exciting, new format of tennis in Australian Open opening week as the Red Bull Bassline hits Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday night.
Six of the world’s best players will battle it out in a quickfire tournament featuring tiebreaks only, no umpires and a DJ.
Featuring three players in the top 20, the new event promises to be an exciting addition to the Australian summer of tennis calender.

The Red Bull Bassline will be broadcast live on Stan Sport, alongside the Adelaide International and Hobart International.
Channel 9 hold broadcast rights for the Australian Open, which includes distributing matches on streaming platforms Stan and 9Now.
The Red Bull Bassline will be held on Tuesday, January 7 at 7pm (AEDT).
It will be held at Rod Laver Arena at Melbourne Park.
Six of the world’s best players will feature in the Red Bull Bassline that has the following guidelines and rules:
The six athletes will be in two groups of three and play in a round robin format.
The two group winners will then play each other in the final.
Four players have been announced to compete with another two to be confirmed in the coming days.
