SACA now recruiting for Head Coach – State Men’s Program | South Australian Cricket Association

SACA is now accepting applications for the role of Head Coach – State Men’s Program.

About the role

Expressions of interest are invited for Head Coach positions at South Australia Cricket Association, encompassing both the South Australia Male Team and the Adelaide Strikers Male Team.

The recent appointment of a General Manager Cricket marks an exciting new phase for the South Australian Cricket Association and we are now seeking quality candidates to lead our teams to success.

In this position you will lead and oversee the coaching functions of the South Australian Men’s Teams driving sustainable team performance and maximising individual development. You will inspire a team of support staff to ensure programs are integrated, holistic and deliver positive outcomes. You will build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and engage collaboratively with leaders across South Australian and Australian Cricket to grow the men’s game.

The key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Fulfil all Head Coach responsibilities for the South Australian Marsh Sheffield Shield team and the BBL Adelaide Strikers team.
  • You will design, implement and review comprehensive individual and team coaching programs, lead a team culture in line with our values, and work collaboratively with support staff to ensure the wellbeing of all players.
  • With the General Manager Cricket, oversee the recruitment, development and performance of coaching and support staff to ensure programs are integrated, holistic and deliver positive outcomes.

About you

  • You will have a minimum 5 years’ coaching experience.
  • You will ideally hold Level 3 Cricket Australia Coaching Accreditation (or the ability to obtain this).
  • You will hold a valid Working with Children Check or have the ability to obtain one.
  • You have a natural ability for building genuine relationships and working proactively with multiple stakeholders.
  • You have exceptional people management skills and experience in motivating passionate teams.
  • You are a great collaborator and value working with diverse teams.
  • It is also desirable that you have a strong understanding of cricket at an international level.
  • A strong understanding of cricket at an international level.

Operating within the sports and entertainment industry, SACA offers an exciting and dynamic working environment, and is responsible for overseeing and developing cricket on a State level.

The SACA is responsible for coordinating international and domestic cricket matches, Premier cricket matches and community carnivals, coaching and development and pathway programs for girls and boys, coaching, umpiring, volunteer development and ground management. It also administers high performance cricket in South Australia, including the State Men’s and Women’s teams and the Adelaide Strikers women’s and men’s teams.
