The 2021 T20 and current 50-over World Cup champions, Australia, will face Afghanistan in their second game of the Super 8s in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The match is set to be played at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, in Saint Vincent on Sunday, June 23.
Australia finished at the top in the group stages, as they remained unbeaten throughout. They won their games against teams like Scotland, Namibia, Oman and even arch-rivals, England.

Afghanistan too, were impressive in the group stage of the tournament, causing one of the biggest upsets by defeating New Zealand by some margin. The Afghans had been a dominant force but lost their most first Super 8 game to India, by 8 wickets.
Australia will be look to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament when they face off against Afghanistan at Kingstown but there are chances of rain playing as a spoilsport as there’s close to 50% chance of downpour after the start of the match. The temperatures are expected to stay around 28°C throughout the day and humidity as high as 86%.
