The Australian men’s cricket team will travel to Edinburgh to face hosts Scotland in a three-match T20 series starting on Wednesday.
All the matches in the Scotland vs Australia T20 series will be played at the Grange Cricket Club and will start at 11:30 PM AEST. The SCO vs AUS cricket matches will be available for live broadcast in Australia.
This is Australia’s first assignment since the T20 World Cup 2024, where they failed to get past the Super 8 stage.
Australia are currently second in the men’s T20 rankings while Scotland are 13th.
Mitchell Marsh remains the captain of the Australian cricket team. Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis, who were in the T20 World Cup squad, will also travel to Scotland.
Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc have been rested for the series while Josh Hazlewood suffered a right calf strain during a training session. He has been replaced by fast bowler Riley Meredith, who last represented Australia three years ago.
Spencer Johnson also suffered a side strain during The Hundred and has been replaced by all-rounder Sean Abbot. Cooper Connolly, meanwhile, has received his maiden international call-up.
The 17-member Scotland cricket team, meanwhile, includes all the 15 members who represented Scotland at the T20 World Cup. The new joiners are Charlie Cassell and Jasper Davidson. Richie Berrington will lead the side.
Australia and Scotland have played each other just once in T20 cricket. The two met during the T20 World Cup at St Lucia in June where Australia prevailed by five wickets.
All in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
