GAMBLING ADS
There’s a lot of talk about gambling ads in Australia at the moment. The government’s looking into toughening up laws designed to restrict where and when they can be shown, but some would like to see an outright ban. That’s right, a lot of politicians are talking about how to tackle Australia’s gambling problem. See, Australia is one of the biggest gambling countries in the world and having literally a million gambling ads on TV each year has something to do with it. Studies show that if you see gambling ads at a young age, you’re more likely to gamble when you’re older which is why there are times that gambling ads aren’t allowed to be shown on TV. But the government is considering making laws that are more strict and some people reckon they should ban gambling ads completely across TV, radio and newspapers. But gambling ads are worth more than 300 million dollars in Australia and some people are arguing that free-to-air TV stations need that money to continue. So we’ll have to wait and see what the government decides to do!

CHEF INVENTION
Now to a cool invention made for a chef in Austria, that lets him move all around his kitchen without having to stand on his feet all day. It was made by his friend, who dabbles in a bit of metalwork, because after a motorcycle accident 14 years ago, the chef was told he wouldn’t be able to work in a job that needed him to stand up for long periods of time. That’s one good friend.
