The boys from the bayside are back again with a strong local list and loom as serious contenders. Test player and newly appointed Bulls captain Marnus Labuschagne will no doubt bring his best to club land. Big-hitting all-rounder James Bazley will be ready to launch while Sam Heazlett does his best to guide their batting unit. Tasmanians Gabe Bell and Kieran Elliott add some much-needed pace bowling depth to the Tigers list, while South Australian batter Daniel Drew will suit the Peter Burge Oval conditions. Local medium pacers Bailey Stewart and Tom Biggs will have a big job to do with the ball for their side.
Players to Watch
This season is a fresh start for Jack Sinfield to announce himself as the state’s premier finger spinner. Only 21, Sinfield has already spent several seasons with the Heat and Bulls. With Matt Kuhnemann heading to Tasmania, the KFC T20 Max is a window of opportunity for Sinfield to show that the future is here and he is ready to roll.
Jimmy Peirson came off the bench last summer for the Heat but still showed his class when it mattered. The KFC T20 Max is the perfect opportunity for him to show his class and experience in the format and display the skills he has refined in the off-season.
