Tennis World No. 1 gets laughed at by dad after embarrassing golf swing – Australian Golf Digest

Jannik Sinner has had a banner 2024. He won the Australian Open, the U.S. Open and the ATP Finals, the latter of which netted him $4.8 million. He even led Italy to its third-ever Davis Cup victory, which was its second in as many years. In terms of athletes, Sinner is undoubtedly near the top right now, ultimately going 73-6 this year with an insane win percentage of 92.4%. Luckily for … well everyone else, as good as the World No. 1 is at tennis, he’s just as bad on the golf course.

The 23-year-old is set to take a well-deserved vacation to end the year, and it looks like he has plenty of room to improve with his (golf) swing on his time off. His coach Darren Cahill took the following video and unfortunately for Sinner posted it for the world to see:

Yes, that’s a drive by the tennis great in which the golf ball ends up behind him, along with the clever caption “Swinging into vacation like…” Things are so bad that you can even hear (and see) Jannik Sinner’s dad laughing at his son’s form.

It’s all in good fun and Sinner has more than enough money to splurge for some golf lessons if he wants to improve, but this makes us feel a bit better. An early 20-something shouldn’t be allowed to dominate all of the sports. You have to save some for the rest of us.
