Will Thanasi Kokkinakis play Australian Open?

As outlined in his message on social media, Kokkinakis hopes to be “back for the rest of the summer”.

He is currently on the entry list for his home tournament, the Adelaide International, after receiving a wildcard.

That is scheduled to begin on January 6.

Should his injury keep him out of that event, he will hope to be ready for the Australian Open, which will kick off on January 12.
