Hawthorn Football Club wishes to advise the sad passing of former premiership player Malcolm Hill.
Recruited from Old Scotch, Hill joined the brown and gold ahead of the 1960 season as a ruckman/forward, playing his first game in Round 1 under then Senior Coach John Kennedy.
Hill would go on to miss just four games the following season, playing an important role in Hawthorn’s run towards its first premiership, as the Hawks downed Footscray by 43 points in the 1961 Grand Final.
Following his time at the Hawks, Hill enjoyed a successful stint representing Sturt in the South Australian Football League, claiming three premierships in 1966, 1967 and 1968.
The club extends its sincere condolences to Malcom Hill’s family and friends during this difficult time.
