Alex de Minaur is having a fantastic year to date, rising to his highest ever ATP world ranking of seventh, and reaching a Grand Slam quarter-final for the first time ever at the 2024 French Open.
He also won the Mexican Open for a second year in a row, and he is set to be Australia’s main man at the tennis competition at the Paris Olympics.
He is currently competing at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, where he will be looking to carry his positive momentum into a best ever finish.

Alex de Minaur is currently on his best ever run at Wimbledon, having reached the quarter-finals after defeating Frenchman Arthur Fils in the Round of 16.
His previous best finish came at the 2022 tournament, where he reached the fourth round before being surprisingly defeated by Chilean Cristian Garin.
His run to the quarter-finals this year has seen him beat fellow Aussie James Duckworth, Spaniard Jaume Munar, and also benefit from a walkover victory over Lucas Pouille in the third round.
He faces a daunting challenge ahead of him, with seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic standing between him and a first ever Grand Slam semi-final.
Alex de Minaur’s record at Wimbledon has been somewhat underwhelming, with a series of exits in the early rounds being a common theme in his six appearances in the finals.
After failing to qualify in 2017, he made his first proper appearance in 2018, and made it to the third round before being defeated by then world number two Rafa Nadal.
He failed to build on this, falling in the second round in 2019 and failing to win a game in 2021.
In last year’s tournament he also failed to impress, going out in the second round to Matteo Berrettini.
