What time does the third Test between Australia and India start and how can I watch?

The series is locked at 1-1 after Australia’s excellent performance with, and against, the pink ball in Adelaide, and the third Test of the five-match series is set to be a beauty at the Gabba, starting Saturday.

Brisbane was the scene of one of the greatest victories in India’s Test history in January 2021 as Rishabh Pant guided India home with an unbeaten 89 not out as they mowed down a target of 328 in the final innings to clinch a second straight series win on Australian soil.

Pat Cummins’ side were also beaten at what was once Australia’s impenetrable fortress earlier this year when Shamar Joseph ran rampant to inspire the West Indies to a stunning upset, but that was with the pink ball.

The red Kookaburra is back at the Gabba, and India will be hoping Jasprit Bumrah is fit enough to pick up where he left off in Perth with the red cherry on a “fresher” pitch than the ones that were used later in the season in those recent Australian losses.

Australia meanwhile will be buoyed by their top order batting more time, and Travis Head blazing a century in Adelaide, as the nature of series appears to be which team’s batters can withstand the onslaught from the other’s formidable bowling attack.

Josh Hazlewood is a chance to return after missing the Adelaide Test with a side strain, which would most likely cause Scott Boland to make way.

Bumrah and new ball partner Mohammed Siraj have both in watch after missing training on Tuesday, but each team’s XI is yet to be confirmed.
