Dillon revealed that after a meeting with the Commission in Melbourne, the AFL Grand Final will remain in its afternoon slot of 2:30pm AEST on Saturday, September 28.
Despite a strong case to be made for moving the showpiece event to the evening, a decision was ultimately made to preserve its traditional start time.
“While there was an acknowledgement of the great presentation of a Saturday twilight event…there was a collective view that the Grand Final should remain in its traditional slot for 2024,” the AFL noted.

NSW, QLD, ACT, VIC, TAS | 2.30pm |
