His arms and chest are extended straight towards the target, with an abbreviated finish.

This, incidentally, is the same piece of advice Butch Harmon gave to Rory. Shorten your follow-through. There are a few benefits of this:

• Keeping your arms straight, as Golf Digest Top 50 Nick Clearwater says, can help you make crisper contact by preventing your wrists from flipping and scooping.

• Extending your chest towards the target helps counteract the common flaw of keeping your head down too long, which can prevent your body from turning.

• Keeping your follow-through short will allow you to keep this shorter, finesse-first shot aggressive, which will allow you more spin.

All of which is to say, stick the finish. You’ll hit crisper half wedge shots because of it.
